Iona Moir

One of three new riders joining Admiral Liv AWOL’s Youth Development Squad, and riding for the team in the cyclo-cross discipline will be 14 year old Iona Moir.

Iona started out as a gymnast at a very early age, competing at National level for three years, only switching in 2015 to cycling after seeing her younger brother Calum take up road racing. Her first 2 years have seen good regional results, and this year she’s performed well at National level. Most recently she podiumed in third place at the Scottish Championships.

She has extended her range of disciplines into track, the highlight qualifying for BC National Youth A & B Track Omnium Championships 2017, and now Cyclo-cross.

Speaking about her inclusion in the Youth Development Squad, Iona told us, “I’m really excited to get the support and guidance from the other riders on the team, and seeing how this will benefit my racing in all disciplines.”

Iona’s was previously at Barking & Dagenham CC and now rides with Welwyn Wheelers on Road and Track.

She will be riding Cyclo-cross for Admiral Liv AWOL.
