One of the original seven Admiral Liv AWOL team members, Hannah Graveney now heads into her third year with a wealth of experience. Over the last two years with Admiral Liv AWOL, Hannah has competed in over 100 races which have included racing in the UK in the OVO Energy Women’s Tour Series, the London Nocturne, Alexandra Tour of the Reservoir, Screentek International North West Women’s Junior Tour, National Championships, amongst others, as well as continental racing at Jeugdtour Assen, Watersley and the Healthy Ageing Tour.
As Hannah herself explains, “This past 2018 season has been quite a long one starting in late February and ending in September and has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. It hasn’t been my best season due to an early crash at the Healthy Ageing Tour which really set me back for the first part of the season. I have then had to juggle my A-Level exams with training and racing which wasn’t easy and didn’t make for the best results.”
She continues, “However, I have had some amazing experiences this year. Racing in the Nations Cups and starting alongside the best in the country for the UK’s hardest stage race, The Tour of Reservoir to name just a couple. None of these opportunities would have been possible without the amazing support of the Admiral Liv AWOL team and their sponsors. I was pleased to end the season on a high and put all the bad races behind me by winning the Junior South-East Road Race Championships, as well as coming 1st junior in the central and eastern region and finishing 10th overall. I have already started building for next season and am more motivated than ever heading in to the Under 23 ranks.”
