Elizabeth Marvelly

The second of pair of riders coming from Hillingdon Slipstreamers this season, and moving up to be a Junior category member of the Admiral Liv AWOL team is Elizabeth Marvelly.

She is a relative old-timer to the cycling world, having begun her racing career back at Under 10 level in 2010, making steady progress and in the most recent two seasons has started to get into her stride, putting in some strong performances on Road as an Under 16.

Highlights of the season would have to be two of her most recent races, with 17th place at the Prudential RideLondon Youth Grand Prix, and a 9th place at the Scarborough round of the British Cycling Youth Circuit Series. She is also an enthusiastic and string time-trialist, and at the recent National Closed Circuit Time Trial championships, she placed 2nd overall Junior and 2nd in her age category, F16. Elizabeth’s determination and persistence through the 2017 season paying off, and she could be one to watch in 2018.

Sharing the transition from her former club and the Youth category with team mate Zoe Brookes will be an added bonus, and the two riders having trained together for the last few years, should now benefit from having a larger group with whom to gain experience, get support and progress.

Commenting on the move to Junior category and joining the Admiral Liv AWOL team, Elizabeth said “I’m really excited about moving up to Juniors and to join Admiral Liv AWOL. It’s such a massive jump, but I’m looking forward to the exciting opportunities which come with Junior road racing, and seeing how far I can push myself with the team.”

Elizabeth’s previous club was: Hillingdon Slipstreamers.

She will be riding on Road, Time-Trial and Track for Admiral Liv AWOL.
