My first race took place at Milton Keynes on the 4th of March and I was joined by my Liv team mate Connie. However this was not a success, I punctured from the start and due to the new no laps out rule I was not able to rejoin the leading group. I was really disappointed because I felt strong and I had prepared well, but that’s bike racing. Connie put in an amazing performance and was able to stay with the lead bunch for the entire race.
My next race consisted of my first ever road race and was part of the South East Road Race League. I think this. was one of the best races I have ever participated in. It was so much fun and a much different experience to racing on a circuit. I managed to finish 4th out of a field of about 30. I was really pleased with this result especially as I didn’t know what to expect.
This month also saw the last of track League which was a really enjoyable event and a great experience. I plan to race every weekend from now on and this is made possible by the support and commitment of my parents and team sponsors Liv and AWOL London.
Next month will see me take part in more of the south east road race league and the Easter Classic at Castle Coombe which will take place on my birthday!
